Organization Description:THE PAD
The PAD is an emergency housing program in Bellingham that offers housing for 13-17 year olds.There is no application required, but a formal intake process with our staff is necessary. Please call the 24-hour PAD hotline at (360) 393-0116 to ask questions.
The PAD offers:
· Shared bedrooms
· Healthy meals
· Help with school
· Fun activitiesHUSLY TEMPORARY SHELTER
The HUSLY Shelter (Housing Under Served Low-Income Youth) is a temporary housing program for young adults ages 18 to 24.There are two HUSLY Shelters, one located in Bellingham and another in Mount Vernon. We offer four beds at each location where young adults can stay for up to 90 days. Note: HUSLY is accessed through our main application process and is NOT first come, first served.
In this program, youth work with a Case Manager to evaluate their longer-term housing options. Youth also have access to other NWYS support services such as employment and education support.
TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM
The Transitional Living Program (TLP) is a short-term, supportive housing program for homeless single, couples, or parenting young adults, ages 18-24, to work on tenancy skills and housing qualifications.Northwest Youth Services supports you with:
· An apartment for up to 18 months
· Help to find a job
· Access to health/support services
· Opening your own savings account to save for long term housing (30% of income each month)RAPID REHOUSING
The Rapid Re-Housing Program is for young people, ages 18-24, who are moving out of unstable situations that resulted in them being temporarily homeless. This program offers lease support, housing financial assistance, deposit, and ongoing skill building in collaboration with Housing Case Managers.Northwest Youth Services helps you with:
· Find an affordable place to live (with roommates or by yourself)
· Sign your own lease
· Short-term rental assistance
· Health/support servicesOTHER HOUSING PROGRAMS
Additional housing programs for young people ages 18-24 supported by Northwest Youth Services include long term vouchers with wraparound services. Please contact Northwest Youth Services for details.Languages:- English
