Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

This 9- to 12-week program includes education on the disease of addiction, the effects of the disease, and the development of an individual treatment plan through individual and group therapy. Educating the family on the addictive process enhances the opportunity for recovery. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to participate in the family program.

Treatment consists of individual and group counseling sessions. Group sessions include therapy and educational groups. The group sessions address the following areas:

Personal growth
Basic alcohol education
Assertiveness training
Denial and acceptance
Family alcohol education
Basic drug education
Dynamics of dependency and addiction
Adult children of alcoholics
Living sober
Information about HIV/AIDS
Information about tuberculosis testing/prevention
Parenting issues in recovery, as appropriate
