Overview
Clinic & Center Description:Pioneer’s Co-occurring Residential Program (CORP) is a 16-bed facility that provides specialized residential treatment for men and women with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder issues.
Services include:
– Comprehensive client needs assessment
– CORP staff includes a licensed psychiatrist, licensed mental health professionals and substance use disorder professionals
– Evidence-based practices
– Integrated treatment planning and recovery-focused engagement to identify symptoms and warning signs related to relapse; daily active client self-monitoring of mood/symptoms, relapse triggers and client identification/practice of a range of appropriate coping skills
– Life-skills and time management training by mental health professionals
– Health, recreation and recovery lifestyle classes
– Interdisciplinary team weekly client reviews of medication compliance, attendance in groups and classes, client behavior, participation and engagement in substance use disorder and mental health counseling, and involvement in case management and aftercare planning
– Family education pursuant to substance abuse and mental health issues
– Supportive employment and housing case management services
– Intra-company access to continuing care and counseling services
– CORP can continue serving clients on Methadone, Suboxone or other medication assisted treatment (MAT)Specific populations will be given priority when they have satisfied all other contractual requirements. These priority populations are:
– Pregnant injecting drug users
– Pregnant substance users
– Injecting drug users
– Parenting womenIntake Process:Potential clients need a referral from their local behavioral health provider which yields a substance use disorder ASAM 3.3 level of care.

Requirements:CORP is a specialty Medicaid program designed to serve individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system and have been diagnosed by an agency as having both a mental health and substance use disorder.
PHS currently contracts with most Managed Care Organizations including:
- Amerigroup
- CHPW
- Coordinated Care
- MolinaAdditional funding may be available for clients who do not have coverage under the above MCOs. Private pay (cash) clients will be considered on a case by case basis and require extra steps to ensure that we have enough information to adequately serve the client and their family.
