Clinic & Center Description:INPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM
Two Rivers Landing is an Evaluation and Treatment Facility located in Yakima, Washington that has 16 psychiatric beds for children between the ages of 11 and 17 years old. This includes 7 beds reserved for acute psychiatric problems and 9 beds for children’s long-term inpatient (CLIP). Clients who are at least 13 years old can be admitted either voluntarily or involuntary under the Involuntary Treatment Act. Children under 13 years old can be admitted voluntarily or through Family Initiated Treatment.Clients are admitted when they have an increase in mental health symptoms that cannot be safely managed in the community. Typically, clients are admitted in response to being a danger to themselves, a danger to others, or because they are gravely disabled and cannot care for their basic health and safety. The typical length of stay is between 7 and 10 days for acute psychiatric beds however, some clients decide to stay voluntarily for longer.
Once admitted, clients will receive the following services:
– A psychiatric evaluation
– A psychosocial intake evaluation completed by a Master’s Level therapist and Child Mental Health Specialist
– A nursing assessment
– A physical assessment
– Daily individual therapy sessions
– Daily appointments with a psychiatrist or other prescriber
– A variety of psycho-educational and behavioral groups held throughout the day
– A minimum of one family or community support session will be offered during the stay
– Time and support to complete school workCHILDREN’S LONG-TERM INPATIENT PROGRAM(CLIP)
CLIP is the most intensive inpatient psychiatric treatment available to WA State residents, ages 5-18 years of age. The program is a secure and highly structured setting designed to assess, treat and stabilize youth diagnosed with psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Individualized treatment is provided through the use of evidenced based practices designed to increase the youth’s skills and adaptive functioning with a focus on reintegration back into a community.Intake Process:RESIDENTIAL INTAKE PROCESS:

Families should contact the local CLIP liaison to determine eligibility. Who your CLIP liaison is depends on your location and insurance. - Ages 11- 17 years old.
- Must be voluntaryCLIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Between the ages of 5-18
- Legal residents of Washington State
- Youth diagnosed with a severe psychiatric disorder
- Youth possessing a risk to themselves, others or is gravely disabled which warrants care under the supervision of a psychiatrist
- Community based mental health resources available in the community did not meet the treatment needs of the youth
- CLIP is funded by Federal and State Medicaid dollars. Private insurance and other income sources can be billed if applicable.
- Client is voluntary, involuntary, or has Family Initiated Treatment
