Overview
Clinic & Center Description:Bridges is an Evaluation and Treatment Facility in Yakima, Washington. It is run by Comprehensive Healthcare. Clients who are at least 18 years old can be admitted voluntarily or under the Involuntary Treatment Act. Clients are admitted when they are demonstrating an increase in mental health symptoms that cannot be safely managed in the community. Typically, clients are admitted in response to being a danger to themselves, a danger to others, or because they are gravely disabled and cannot care for their basic health and safety. The typical length of stay is between 7 and 10 days.
Most admissions are facilitated through designated mental health professionals, medical providers, or community service providers or law enforcement. Admission can be voluntary or involuntary. In order to refer clients for a designated mental health professional evaluation please contact your local crisis line or call us directly.
Once admitted, clients receive the following services:
A psychiatric evaluation
A psychosocial intake evaluation completed by a Master’s Level therapist
A nursing assessment
A physical assessment
Daily individual therapy sessions
Daily appointments with a psychiatrist or other prescriber
A variety of psycho-educational and behavioral groups held throughout the day
A minimum of one family or community support session will be offered during the stay
Families are encouraged to participate in the treatment process as much as possible. The staff at Bridges will actively seek out family and community supports to aid in the treatment while a client is at Bridges. The staff at Bridges recognize that admissions impact the family and support systems of all clients and strive to provide comprehensive care to all those involved in the client’s life whenever possible.Outpatient treatment providers are strongly encouraged to participate in the treatment process. Please inquire about attending a multi-disciplinary staff meeting, either in person or over the phone. Additionally, outpatient providers will be invited to participate in the family/community support session offered.
