CRISIS ALERT: THERAPY FOR SURVIVORS OF LAS VEGAS ATTACK
Thero is currently working with our partners to coordinate a therapeutic response to the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. Visit www.thero.org/VegasStrong to search for pro bono therapy for this attack. Visit www.thero.org/signup if you’re a licensed provider and want to offer help.
What is it?
Thero.org is a non-profit community of treatment providers who are building a national mental health resource directory. The Crisis Therapy Project is a collaborative group of organizations that coordinates mental health professionals to provide pro bono sessions for survivors of national crises and victims of natural disasters.
How it Works
Any licensed therapist, psychologist, counselor, or psychiatrist can join Thero and list their business in our directory for free. When Providers want to offer free sessions for a specific cause or group they can let people know by selecting the “Pro Bono” option. Anyone looking for free therapy for a specific issue can search the Thero Directory for help.
Why It’s Important
We must make it easy for mental health professionals to connect with those in need. This year we’ve seen many national crises and natural disasters. It can feel overwhelming and often there isn’t an easy way to organize a response. The Crisis Therapy Project empowers local mental health professionals to support the causes and communities that matter most to them.
