• About Me

    Brian Luhmann, Psy.D. is a California Registered Marriage & Family Therapy Intern. Dr. Luhmann graduated with his Doctorate of Psychology in Marital and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Irvine. In service to his alma mater, Dr. Luhmann is currently an Adjunct Faculty member for the Applied Clinical Psychology program and is working to develop and facilitate study abroad programs for students. He primarily treats clients through mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, with a focus on family system. His clinical training has included serving as a primary therapist for detox & residential program, individual and group therapist for an intensive outpatient program, school counseling at elementary & junior high schools, writing reports with the focus of evaluating sexually violent predators, and being a part of the Orange County Department of Education Crisis Response Network. Dr. Luhmann has completed intensive trainings including: Fundamentals of Clinical Hypnosis, Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Safe Zone Ally – LGBT Advocacy, Applied Yoga & Meditation, & International Critical Incident Stress – Group Crisis Intervention.
