• About Me

    Michelle Massi, MFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is a Clinical Specialist in the UCLA OCD Intensive Treatment Program, working both one-on-one with the patients as well as leading group therapy since 2008. Ms. Massi specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy to treat mood disorders and anxiety disorders including panic, generalized anxiety (GAD), social anxiety, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and specific phobias. In 2009-2012, Ms. Massi also joined the UCLA Childhood OCD, Anxiety and Tic Disorders Program where she participated in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety and related disorders in children and adolescents, and acted as an independent evaluator for Tourette’s Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder research studies.
    She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC San Diego, where she served as a research assistant at the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab under the direction of Dr. Joan Stiles. Ms. Massi received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. She has received post-graduate training from Airport Marina Counseling Services, John Adams Middle School in Santa Monica, UCLA’s Anxiety Disorder Clinic and in private practice under the supervision of Dr. Michael Cameron. Ms. Massi provides individual, couple and family therapy to children, teens and adults in her private practice. Michelle has been a featured speaker at the annual conferences of the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF).
