    Extended Biography :

I have been working with individuals, couples, teens, and children in my private practice over the course of several decades. I have seen lives saved, marriages restored, children thrive, and teenagers survive. I strive to understand the life story in which an individual's concerns reside. I know that we all depend on one another in order to feel appreciated, valued, and a sense of belonging. I appreciate the opportunity to work with and along side folks who are striving to find their way in their personal lives and relationships. I respect the worldview and support the spiritual experience of each person I meet.

    Role In Relation to Clients/Patients:

I use a thoughtful and respectful approach in understanding concerns and formulating solutions. I draw on a knowledge of biology, psychosocial development, and learning theory as I collaborate with individuals in developing customized intervention plans.
Specific treatment modalities are selected with individuals so that the most preferred and effective strategies are utilized. Structured programs, with homework, in areas including recovery from trauma, sexual abuse, substance abuse, relapse prevention, stress management, anger management, obsessive compulsive disorder, and marital relations are also used. Reports to physicians, psychiatrists, schools, probation officers, and others are provided as indicated.
