I received my BA in Psychology in 2008, and my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010. Since 2009, I have had clinical experience in schools, day treatments, family homes and outpatient services. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#2337) in January, 2014. I love helping people heal themselves and their relationships using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which is a therapeutic approach that balances accepting and loving yourself for who you are, while at the same time working hard to try new skills and grow as a person. DBT has changed the way I think about myself, my feelings and my relationships! For many people it can provide help and healing. My true passion is to use DBT through a spiritual lens. DBT and Christian faith are incredibly compatible and together they create an unstoppable way of viewing and interacting with the world. My belief is that if people could understand how to accept themselves for who they are, as God has created them, and at the same time make the incredible journey of living out His calling for their lives, then our community can be that light to the world, the city on the hill that cannot be hidden.
