I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is crucial to creating change. Through a trusting and positive relationship we are able to work together to define and work toward your goals. I enjoy working with children and adolescents, as well as individuals and families. Most people struggle at some point in their lives in managing moods, coping with change or defining changes they feel they need to make to reach their goals. Counseling can be the difference between getting by and learning to thrive in the face of challenges.
I work hard with my clients to identify and define goals of counseling. I work with each individual to determine the techniques necesary to create change. It may be help to develop healthy ways of coping, manage mood issues or assist you in learning life or self management skills.
I enjoy working with children and adolescents, in conjunction with or separately from family therapy. Often children and adolescents struggle with the changes in expectations, social stressors, identity confusion, family changes, and personal challenges. The focus is on increasing insight into their issues and healthy expression of thoughts and feelings.
